Poncho, 10 Year Old Calico Domestic Long hair
Named after a Willie Nelson song, Poncho and her sister Lefty (who is gone, but NOT forgotten) showed up at GRG Ranch when they were teeny tiny.
Brought inside and loved and cared for, they absolutely thrived and grew up happy and healthy. Unfortunately we lost Lefty a few years ago, but Poncho has adjusted very well and is living out her days as a spoiled and cherished member of the GRG Ranch family.

King, 7 year old German Shepherd Dog
This handsome beast of a boy was just under a year old when GRG Ranch founder Renne Walker was tagged in a Facebook post about him by a friend member and family member. He was unsocialized, in tact, had never been to the vet, hadn't been in a car since he was 8 weeks old - and he was located in Missouri.
So, naturally, she immediately fell in love and knew he needed her. The next morning, her and friend launched off on the 7 hour drive across 3 states to pick him up and bring him home. He had lived outside 24/7 on a 10 foot chain, wasn't trained and hadn't been walked on a leash before. But he was an absolute champion for the long drive to his new home and his fresh start..
Now, after over 6 years, a sack whack Wednesday, countless vet visits and various adventures, meeting new friends and being the sweetest goofus, this boy is part of the family and could NOT be more loved. If ADHD were a dog….

Sasha, Approx 5 year old German Shepherd Mix
Found and rescued at just under a year old by long time friends of GRG Ranch and founder, Renne Walker, Sasha was MUCH loved. But try as they did, with an already full house and a family with two special needs children- sadly it wasn't a good fit.
So they reached out to Renne (who had puppy sat many times, so they already knew Sasha and King were GREAT friends), and Sasha was welcomed to the Funny Farm Family with widespread, open arms.
Inseparable, she and King patrol the farm, clear the house of ALL ghosts before bedtime, and very much make it their duty to protect all critters at GRG Ranch. Big and small.

Cyndi Lauper AKA Cyndi Lou, 12 y.o. fainting goat
This older female goat had been kept separate from our equine portion ofour newest trio. She was a breeding goat for years andshe spent several years alone before she hitched a ride to GRG Ranch.
She’s fearful and reactive, but handling was there somewhere in her history and we were able to get a collar on her She got her vaccines and wormer, dusted with python for good measure, and off she went to GRG Ranch.
