Why Donate to help support our mission?
GRG Ranch Horse Rescue & Sanctuary is a US 501c-3 Equine Nonprofit (88-1660703). Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses in need of a new beginning. Our permanent herd consists primarily of horses rescued privately by founder, Renne Walker, and many are or will be a part of our lesson program and therapeutic riding programs.
Donations go directly to the rescue and rehabilitation costs, care costs, necessary veterinary medical care with our partners at Cleary Lake Veterinary Hospital, to support our community outreach program Clifford's Kids (annual lesson package scholarships), and to support our therapeutic/hippotherapy lesson programs taught by one of our PATH, Intl certified instructors.
Where are donated funds spent?
Donations go directly to the care and rehabilitation costs needed to get our rescues to their best quality of life and ready them for adoption, to purchase and supply necessary equipment for our able bodied and therapy lesson programs, to provide the necessary facility upgrades and maintenance to ensure the safety and health of out horses AND support team, and to the care costs of our permanent herd and current/future members of our lesson crew.
These include, but are not limited to: Veterinary care (vaccinations, diagnostics, preventative care, etc), regular farrier care (hoof health), daily forage and grain, equine nutritional supplements, worming, fence repair and replacement, building projects: permanent shelter and fencing for Tiny Tina Turner, farrier/vet shed to provide a sheltered, enclosed area for our equine professionals to work, and more to give our equine the best in care and rehabilitation….
