Santana is trained under saddle and doing beautifully with a bit of refresher riding. His feet needed some attention when he first arrived, and he needed to lose about 200 pounds. This winter we worked on his foot care and getting him down to a healthy weight. Once he was looking and feeling much better, we spent time on groundwork with him and training him to a bit, as he’d previously been ridden in a hackamore. He’s doing beautifully!
Today he’s feeling and moving much better and is ready for the next chapter in his life, where he’ll make a fantastic and fancy riding partner for someone.
